[Dongguan CHAM] Selected as a "Zero-Waste Factory" in Dongguan City, Demonstrating Genuine Achievements in Green Development

Recently, after strict evaluation by the Dongguan Ecological Environment Bureau, Dongguan CHAM Battery Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Dongguan CHAM") has successfully been selected into the list of "Zero-Waste Factories" in Dongguan City for 2024, becoming an outstanding enterprise honored at the municipal level in Dongguan.

The evaluation work of "Zero-Waste Factories" is rigorous and standardized. Dongguan CHAM has strictly followed the Law on the Prevention and Control of Environmental Pollution by Solid Wastes and the Construction Guide for "Zero-Waste Factories" in Dongguan City. It has established a special organization, clarified environmental protection responsibilities, and constructed a whole-process management system from the production source to the end disposal. In 2024, by introducing intelligent equipment and optimizing process parameters, the company achieved a year-on-year reduction of 17.49% in general industrial solid waste and a 10.45% decrease in hazardous waste generation. In terms of the construction of the green supply chain, it has strictly implemented the Enterprise Green Procurement Guide, comprehensively adopted degradable packaging materials, and the utilization rate of green packaging reached 92%. In terms of technological innovation and standardized management, Dongguan CHAM has accessed the provincial and municipal solid waste management platforms, established an electronic hazardous waste consignment note system, and introduced a third party to provide solid waste management services to ensure the whole process of transfer and disposal can be traced. In the construction of a zero-waste culture, Dongguan CHAM has advanced in multiple dimensions. The factory area is equipped with garbage sorting equipment to improve the resource utilization rate of domestic waste; it has implemented electronic office work, reducing the consumption of office supplies by 40%; and carried out the "Clean Plate Campaign", reducing the food waste in the canteen by 27%. In addition, it organizes environmental protection training for all employees every quarter and enhances the participation of employees and the public in the construction of "Zero-Waste Factories" through publicity.

Guided by the National Work Plan for the Construction of "Zero-Waste Cities" during the 14th Five-Year Plan Period, the "Zero-Waste Factory" adheres to the principles of reduction, resource utilization, and harmlessness. It aims to promote green production, achieving minimal waste generation, maximum recycling, minimized environmental risks, low-carbon energy consumption, and refined solid waste management.
